9U Michelbook Spring/Summer
This program is and in-house league designed for kids that are 9 years of age or younger and are less experienced or a beginner to the game. Kids registered for this program will be paired together on-course and will play a 6 hole scramble of yardages between 50 - 100 yards. Coaches and our experienced 17U league kids will be providing the instruction. Practices are made up of games to develop athletic ability and golf skills in a fun and relaxed manner. Kids that are between the ages of 7 and 9 that are more advanced players should seek our 13u program for more on-course access with a 9-hole scramble. This will be at coaches discretion. In the event of inclement weather, we will consider those days as canceled, unless we are able to reschedule.
17U Michelbook Spring/Summer
This is an exciting program for players aged 14-17! Like Little League for GOLF! This is a great place for golfers of ALL skill levels to learn the game and have fun in friendly competition. Practices will focus on developing all around athleticism as well as golf specific skills. We create a team atmosphere because learning and playing golf is more fun with friends! Our 17U team will play a home and away series of games with the 3 other clubs in our League as well as in-house matches and a season ending all league event July 5 at Salem Golf Club. NEW FOR THIS YEAR we will be competing for the Willamette Valley Cup. Select matches in each game will count towards the season score and the team with the most points at the end of the season will win the cup! Join us and be a part of bringing the inaugural cup to Michelbook CC! Come to learn the game, relax and have fun, or come to cut your teeth in competition. Either way this is the place to be! PGA Jr. League is a fun, team-based golf program designed to introduce and develop young players in a supportive and exciting environment. Modeled after traditional youth sports leagues, PGA Jr. League brings kids together to learn, compete, and grow as part of a team. Players wear team jerseys, compete in matches against other local teams, and experience golf in a relaxed, scramble-format setting that encourages teamwork and confidence. It’s the perfect blend of skill development and on-course experience. Our program focuses on: Building solid fundamentals in full swing, chipping, and putting Understanding course etiquette, rules, and strategy Developing confidence through real match play Learning teamwork, sportsmanship, integrity and competitive spirit PGA Jr. League is ideal for beginners through intermediate players who are ready to take their skills from the practice area to the golf course in a fun and structured format.
