YMCA Newport/Green Valley Summer 13u 2026
Our program begins this Summer. Players of all abilities from beginners to advanced players are welcome. Practices are conducted weekly on our putting green, driving range, short game area and the golf course. Inter league tournaments on indoor simulators will also take place. \* Participants will need to provide their own clubs. All practices and tournaments will be held at the YMCA or Green Valley Golf Course. Parents will be informed prior to events. Practice will be held Thursdays from 5:30-7PM at Green Valley or the YMCA space depending on weather.

TPC River Highlands Summer League
Program will run from July 16th till August 24th. TPC River Highlands offers a true developmental league where kids are grouped by age and ability. All practices will take place at the TPC River Highlands practice facility with matches being played on the same course as the Travelers Championship. Program is limited to 36 participates allowing small group instruction and more coaching per child. Practices will be conducted by 2023 Connecticut PGA section Teacher of the Year Justin Smith, along with his staff of PGA professionals. Parents are required to accompany children on Mondays to help with pace of play. We will not be participating in post season all-stars. TPC membership is NOT required to participate. Button Hole's PGA Jr League program is ONLY open to "Button Hole Kids." For more information on becoming a Button Hole Kid or to join our program please contact coach Tyler (tpiekarski@buttonhole.org). This 9U program is coached by Michael Houle, Intern.
Be BERLIN Proud Junior Golf Camp - July 13-16 - (Ages 5-9)
For Ages 5-9 The Program Games-based learning. Snag Golf & Birdie Ball Equipment will be used for ease of learning and safety Optimal performance happens when people are having fun! A comprehensive learning curriculum with both golf skills and life skills learned through golf. Instruction led by ADM (American Development Model) Certified Coaches. Safety is the #1 priority for our Be BERLIN Proud Program. We will have an 8:1 student-instructor ratio to spread out the junior golfers. The program is designed for junior golfers of all skill levels. If you do not have golf clubs, we will provide them.
Future Stars Academy - August Only - 4pm Class
Future Stars Academy is great for any skill level and players looking to play both competitively or recreationally. So often we see coaching programs who start players from the tee-to-green. This program is different than most, we start from the green-to-tee which is important for all players, and for beginners doesn’t make golf seem overwhelming to learn! This developmental program provides players with a clear plan to learn to play the game. That is why the Future Stars curriculum provides junior golfers of any skill level with the most effective developmental program to learn to play golf. Players will become golfers by following the roadmap to shooting 36 or better for 9-holes! Level 1 – 270 yards (30 yards per hole) Level 2 – 540 yards (60 yards per hole) Level 3 – 1,080 yards (120 yards per hole) Level 4 – 1,620 yards (180 yards per hole) Level 5 – 2,160 yards (240 yards per hole) To pass a level on an event day, you must shoot 36 or lower.

Timberlin Summer Junior Club
Timberlin Summer Junior Club is a great opportunity to get your junior player on the golf course! Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting in July) Instructional class from 11:00am-12:00pm Break for lunch (bring your own or order from restaurant) Followed by a fun 9-hole competition Summer Junior Club runs from 11:00am-3:00pm This program has been the start of many aspiring high school players and serves as a great introduction to competitive golf as well as learning how to play the game. We will coach the players on rules of golf, golf etiquette, and how to play all the shots you will encounter in a round of golf.

PGA Junior League is a perfect way to learn the game of golf in a relaxed team environment. This is a great opportunity to be introduced to the game of golf through weekly practices and FUN matches verse other facilities. This developmental program is designed for ages 7 to 13.
