Village Green Fall Junior Golf Kickoff & Skills Combine Sunday, August 16, 2026 Kick off the fall golf season with an afternoon of fun, skill-building, and program exploration at Village Green Golf Club! Whether your junior is brand new to golf, looking for a fun in-house league, ready for competitive PGA Jr. League play, or interested in our new 17U Individual Series, this event is the perfect place to discover the right fit. Throughout the afternoon, families will rotate through a fun skills combine while meeting our coaching staff, learning about each program, and receiving personalized recommendations based on each player's current skill level and goals. Skills Combine Players will register for an assigned afternoon arrival time. The evaluation takes approximately 30–45 minutes and includes: Driving Evaluation – Five tee shots Chipping Evaluation – Short game assessment Putting Evaluation – Distance control and accuracy Optional Pin Seeker Challenge – Players interested in the Competition Team may attempt the White Pin Seeker Challenge following their skills evaluation. Find Your Best Fit Following the evaluation, our coaching staff will recommend the program that best supports each junior's development. Programs Featured 9U Development Program Recreational In-House League Competition Team 17U Saturday Stableford Series Family Golf Cup Families are encouraged to visit our Junior Golf Information Center throughout the afternoon to learn more about each program, ask questions, view schedules, receive registration assistance, and complete enrollment on-site. Players who successfully complete the White Pin Seeker Challenge will receive priority eligibility for the Competition Team and will receive their Competition Team registration code following their evaluation. Celebrate Oktoberfest with a day of family golf, great food, and unforgettable memories! This year's Oktoberfest celebration gets a fun new twist as Village Green hosts its Oktoberfest Family Cup, combining our annual Oktoberfest tradition with the PGA Family Golf format. In PGA Family Golf, your family is your team! Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all welcome to play together in a relaxed, family-friendly scramble designed for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Our "executive" Par 58 - 18-hole course provides the perfect setting for families to enjoy the game together while creating memories that will last long after the final putt. Event Details 📅 Saturday, October 3, 2026 🕘 9:00 AM Shotgun Start Format 18-Hole Family 4-Person Scramble Teams that have 2, 3, or 4 family members will rotate extra shots at each ball position to complete four shots. Each player must contribute at least two drives per round. Junior golfers will play age-appropriate tees to create a fun and fair experience for everyone. Ages 9 & Under will play from the Blue Pin Seeker Tees. Older juniors will be assigned modified tees based on age and ability. We’ll then review your current equipment to ensure it’s working for you, not against you. We will include a warm up bucket before the next portion which is our on course assessment. If you are a true beginner with no golf experience please inquire about the best options for you if you are unsure. The plan here is to lead you into one of our on course programs which allow you to continue to reach towards your 1 year golf goal! By the end, you’ll walk away with a clear, customized improvement plan designed to accelerate your progress and help you reach your long-term goals with confidence!
1. New Student Assessment
In this 1-Hour session, together we will use technology such as Trackman, SportsBox.ai, etc. to create a baseline of your golf swing. From the data, we will detemine what the next steps for you are to improve your golf swing. You will leave with a personlized improvement plan to help you lower your scores. Yes... You will leave with homework. Only offered to new/first time students.

New Student Assessment
The New Student Assessment is a comprehensive first session designed to evaluate your current game, goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. This assessment includes full swing analysis, short game evaluation, ball striking tendencies, course strategy discussion, and a personalized improvement plan to help create a clear path forward in your development.
On Course Playing Lesson
I like to use on-course time as a playing assessment for new players or a course-management lesson for current students. The 'Playing Assessment' is used for me as a coach to gain a good sense of where you are, where you'd like to be and build a road map to help you get there.
