John McNair, Chief Golf Officer at JC Resorts in La Jolla, California, has joined the PGA Board of Directors as District 11 Director for the PGA of America. McNair will represent the Aloha, Northern California and Southern California PGA Sections by fulfilling the remaining year-long term of Bill Troyanoski, PGA. Afterwards, McNair will serve a full three-year term on the Board.
The PGA Board of Directors is composed of the Association’s President, Vice President, Secretary and 19 Directors. The Directors include representatives from each of the PGA’s 14 Districts, an At-Large PGA Member Director, three Independent Directors, and a member of the PGA Tour. New District Directors are elected by their local PGA Sections.
“The PGA of America is led by some of the most talented PGA Members in the world, who are elected by their peers and volunteer their time to serve on the PGA Board of Directors,” said PGA President Jim Richerson. “It is truly an honor to serve alongside these dedicated leaders, whose knowledge, insight and expertise will help direct and guide our Association in the years ahead.”
A distinguished PGA Member with more than 25 years of experience, McNair served as President of the Southern California PGA Section from 2015-’16. He also served as the past Chairman of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Golf Committee. McNair, who manages all aspects of JC Resorts’ golf operations, course maintenance and food and beverage venues, also is an active contributor to several golf publications, including PGA Magazine and Golf, Inc.
“It is humbling to have the opportunity to represent and advocate for my fellow PGA Members of the Southern California, Northern California and Aloha PGA Sections on a national level,” said McNair. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with some of the most respected individuals in the golf industry on the PGA Board of Directors.”
