A PGA Teaching and Coaching Certified Instructor, Steve has dedicated his professional career to teaching, and has worked with players of all skill levels and abilities. He has taught full-time for over 10 years, is currently the Director of Instruction at NC State's Lonnie Poole Golf Course, and has served as Director of Instruction at New York City's Premier Indoor Golf since 2016.

From beginners and juniors, to club champions and collegiate players, he takes pride in a dedication to his students and utilizes a fact-based, comprehensive approach to help them reach their goals.

His detail-oriented and process-driven teaching style is combined with a belief that great communication is the most important part of coaching. A true student of the game, Steve is constantly seeking new information and striving to improve as a coach, just as he expects his students to improve on the golf course.

A graduate of NC State's PGM program, Steve worked as a part of the original team at Lonnie Poole Golf Course when it opened in 2009. Upon graduation, he started his teaching career in Raleigh as a Certified Personal Coach at GolfTEC.

In 2015, he moved to New York, NY to pursue a role as PGA Teaching Professional at GolfManhattan, before serving as Director of Instruction at NYC's Premier Indoor Golf.

In 2020, Steve returned to Lonnie Poole and now serves the role of Director of Instruction, leading an expert team of both PGA and non-PGA accredited instructors.
