Tilly was introduced to the game of golf at the age of three. She started competing at the age of 7 and won numerous junior tournaments. Tilly was recruited in her junior year to play for the Minnesota Gophers. Due to injuries in college, her playing career was cut short and she grew an interest in becoming a golf instructor. She started learning about instruction from her own coach Chris Foley. Tilly then moved to Las Vegas to attend the PGM (Professional Golf Management) program at UNLV. She completed her PGA qualifications in 2017 and a member of the PGA, with a focus on golf instruction. During the process of getting her PGA certification Tilly observed and work under Top 50 female instructor Mary Hafeman in Milwaukee Wisconsin. In early 2016, Tilly joined the team at the Butch Harmon School of Golf. She has been directly learning and working under Butch Harmon. Tilly has observed Butch in every lesson, which includes beginner golfers to the top players in the World; which include, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Jimmy Walker, Gary Woodland, Nick Watney, Natalie Gulbis, and Suzann Pettersen.
In 2019 Tilly joined UNLV Women's Golf Team as assistant coach. Tilly realized her love of the game is helping her clients become better golfers and developing junior golfers. Tilly currently works at Bears Best where she does individual lessons as well as growing her Junior Elite Academy.
