Fall 2026 First Tee San Joaquin PGA Jr. League at Swenson Park
Fall 2026 First Tee San Joaquin PGA Jr. League at Swenson Park

The Fall First Tee San Joaquin PGA Jr. League at Swenson Park Golf Course is an exciting, fun, and inclusive team-based youth golf program designed to introduce kids to the game in a social, supportive environment—much like other recreational youth sports such as Little League baseball or soccer. This program emphasizes team play, skill development, and enjoyment over intense individual competition. Participants wear team jerseys, build friendships, and learn from qualified instructors in a welcoming setting open to all skill levels. Program Details at Swenson Park Golf Course Ages & Schedule: Ages 7-11: 7 practices on Wednesdays from 4:30–5:30 PM, plus 6 matches on Saturdays with tee times starting at 2 pm. Ages 12-17: 7 practices on Thursdays from 4:30–5:30 PM, plus 6 matches on Saturdays with tee times starting at 2 pm. Practices: These focused, one-hour sessions are led by PGA Professional Jack Kuller at Swenson Park Golf Course. They cover fundamentals like swing technique, short game, putting, rules, etiquette, and team strategies—creating a nurturing space to build confidence and improve at your own pace. Game Days: The program features 7 competitive yet recreational matches, played in a popular two-player scramble format (both teammates hit shots, the best one is chosen, and play continues from there until the hole is completed). Matches use a fun, point-based match play system (divided into "flags" of 3 holes each for scoring excitement). This format lets everyone contribute, reduces pressure, and keeps things social and encouraging. Dates for Ages 7-11: Practices- 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4 Game Days- 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17,10/24, 11/7 Dates for Ages 12-17: Practices- 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5 Game Days- 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17,10/24, 11/7 This league brings friends and families together through golf, fostering lifelong love for the game while developing skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. It's perfect for beginners building basics or more experienced juniors looking for a team-oriented experience. Financial Aid is available! Only a limited amount so inquire asap! Sonoma Junior Golf Saturday - Aug 22
Sonoma Junior Golf Saturday - Aug 22

Ages: 8-12 Schedule: Saturday, 10am-12pm Format: Single Day Program This dynamic junior golf program is thoughtfully designed around Level One and elements of Level Two of Golf’s American Development Model (ADM). While primarily focused on Discover, Learn & Play (Level 1), we incorporate appropriate aspects of Develop & Challenge (Level 2) to support the natural overlap for kids ages 10-12. This ensures every child receives age-appropriate instruction while allowing more advanced or older participants in the group to be gently challenged. What Your Child Will Experience: Discover: Kids will explore the game through fun, engaging activities — trying different clubs, experiencing the joy of hitting shots, and learning basic rules and etiquette in a relaxed, pressure-free setting. Learn: Strong emphasis on golf fundamentals including grip, posture, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and full swing development. We use fun drills, games, and properly sized equipment to build solid technique and coordination. Play: A major focus of every session! Kids will play fun on-course simulator games, short-hole formats, team challenges, and scoring activities to apply their skills in real golf situations and build confidence. Develop & Challenge (for ages 10-12): Older or more experienced kids in the group will be introduced to slightly more advanced concepts such as basic course management, simple shot shaping, increased focus on consistency, and more competitive games. This helps bridge the gap for those ready for the next stage of development without overwhelming younger participants. Program Highlights: Small group format for personalized coaching and attention Daily balance of skill drills and games Strong focus on fun, confidence building, sportsmanship, and making friends Development of movement skills, hand-eye coordination, and a lifelong love of golf Progressive challenges tailored to each child’s age and ability within the 8–12 range Led by experienced junior golf instructors following PGA/USGA American Development Model best practices By the end of the day, children will leave with a strong foundation in golf, improved skills, new friendships, and the excitement to keep playing. This blended approach ensures the program meets kids where they are developmentally — whether they’re just discovering the game or starting to challenge themselves further. Spots are limited! Sign up today for a fun, high-quality day of junior golf!
